OUR HISTORY

A LEGACY OF DELICIOUS BUTTERMILK BISCUITS

In 1980, in the heart of Appalachia, Bill and Mae Tudor opened the first Tudor’s Biscuit World. Founded with a simple vision of serving fresh, made-from-scratch buttermilk biscuits, the restaurant quickly captured the hearts (and taste buds) of the Charleston, West Virginia community. What started as a small, local eatery soon blossomed into a breakfast phenomenon.

In 1986, the Tudor family teamed up with Oshel Craigo, a renowned West Virginia restaurateur known for building the Gino's Pizza & Spaghetti House chain. This strategic partnership laid the foundation for Tudor’s remarkable growth into a regional quick-serve chain that rivals any national breakfast brand.

For more than 40 years, Tudor's Biscuit World has been serving up authentic country-style goodness. Today, the chain’s franchisees operate 73 locations across four states...and counting. Tudor's Biscuit World is growing, expanding into new markets. With our rich heritage and loyal customer base, our delicious menu offerings will resonate with new communities.
